POLITICAL CENTRIST / MODERATE COMMUNITY

Our site isn’t just a political centrist blog… we also have forums, profiles and the ability for registered users to communicate with each other on their pages and by private messages (like any other social network), as well as user groups that members can create and control, similar to groups or fan pages on sites like Facebook.

A place for centrist and moderate voters to meet, talk and learn

For political centrist or moderate voters – we’re building the best place to be to see your views represented online, to meet and talk to like-minded people and do some reading about political issues from a perspective that isn’t well represented in the mainstream media or blogosphere.

If you’re a mainstream independent, moderate democrat, moderate republican or otherwise someone who thinks you fit into what we like to call the “Big Tent Center”, and would like to join up and talk to other like-minded centrists and moderates – click the big blue button at the top of the sidebar and you’ll have an account in no time. You’ll never have to remember your password since you’ll log in with Facebook Connect.

Centrist and Moderate Member Areas

Once you’ve created an account on our site, you’ll be able to…

  1. Jump in the conversation with other “Big Tent Center” voters in our Centrist Forums.
  2. The Centrist Wiki (now under construction) is where you’ll find a sort of encyclopedia of political information on issues, organizations, websites and figures that may be of interest to centrists and moderates.
  3. CLICK HERE if you might be interested in joining the bullpen on our centrist blog.

Of, By and For Centrists and Moderates

There just plain aren’t very manly places online for us to go, find content that is written for, and by, people like us, and is a place where only centrist and moderate folks can go without being harassed by political blog trolls from all over the spectrum that would rather vomit their hatred at us than have a conversation like a normal person. We’re starting to see some centrist pundits start to gain some notoriety, but we’re only now just starting to see things bubble up from the grassroots level, both on and offline.

Only people who fit into what I call the “Big Tent Center” will be able to create accounts and access the member only areas, and while anyone can read and comment on the centrist blog sections – and other informational areas of the site like our wiki – only members will be able to join in the conversation in the forums, join user groups, send other users private messages and volunteer to help build our wiki. From my experience running an old centrist blog that I shut down several months back to work on building this site, some trolls will slip through, but that’s to be expected and we’ll work to keep most of them out.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you find what you’re looking for here, and I hope to see you participate in the comments, forums and other interactive sections of the site.
